Women are a powerful force in Canada’s hospitality industry, yet BC alone has seen a 43% decline in women working in kitchens since 2019. In 2021 women made up more than half of hospitality’s workforce while holding less than a quarter of its executive-level positions.

WORTH Association does critical work to help educate, elevate and empower women in the hospitality industry across Canada, dealing with issues from the gender pay gap to work/life balance, advancement & retention, sexual harassment and more.                   

Yes Shef is their amazing annual fundraising event, with proceeds from ticket sales contributing directly to scholarships, programs and other resources that are paving the way for the next generation of female hospitality leaders.

In addition to networking with hundreds of other hospitality leaders, guests will enjoy tasting stations throughout the Fairmont Pacific Rim's stunning Star Sapphire Ballroom, savouring delights crafted and curated by female-led teams. Noteworthy Chefs will collaborate with student apprentices from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts to develop and execute signature dishes while leading winemakers, sommeliers, brewers and bar professionals will serve unique wine, beer and cocktail creations.
