Summary

This award winning national home furnishings retailer seeks a Web Data Analyst for their e-Commerce Team in Winnipeg or based remotely. As a Web Data Analyst you will be responsible for developing the web analytics portfolio and reporting for multiple brands. Your focus will be on providing meaningful reporting and actionable insights (e.g. funnels, reports and dashboards).

As a member of our eCommerce department, you will consult and work with stakeholders to identify business objectives and KPIs in support of understanding user behaviour. You’ll establish standards and ensure proper setup of analytics properties (e.g. tagging and analytics requirements) and work both individually and with developers to implement appropriate tagging to track online behaviour and engagement to drive improved conversion.

Description

  • Work with developers to incorporate analytics into our sprint planning for new features and ensure that these are implemented correctly and capture relevant metrics
  • Respond to web analytics requests and work with stakeholders in marketing, merchandising and development teams to identify and implement web analytics needs
  • Setting up and tracking online goals, events, engagement funnels and conversions across multiple domains using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Monitoring and evaluating website usage metrics, heatmaps, session recordings, SEO data and more to identify user behavioural patterns
  • Helping stakeholders understand online metrics using data visualization, dashboards, reports or presentations compiling information from various sources
  • Setting up customized dashboards and reports, and establishing a scalable reporting process

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in web analytics or data analysis with preference given to a top 50 online retailer or furniture/appliance retail
  • Strong experience setting up and ideally using the Google analytics product suite (e.g. GA, Tag Manager, Search Console, etc.) or similar analytics platforms
  • Experience creating meaningful data visualizations, reports and dashboards for stakeholders based on data from various sources using tools like Power BI or Google Data Studio
  • Familiarity with analytics related tools would be a plus (e.g. AB Tasty, Hotjar, SEMrush)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Project design and/or management skills
  • Negotiation and relationship building skills
