Advancing women in Hospitality – getting game-ready!
On March 8 – International Women’s Day – Restaurants Canada President & CEO Kelly Higginson stated that “Women make up more than half of Canada’s foodservice workforce … but hold only about 30% of management roles and even fewer C-suite positions.”.
The WORTH Leadership Summit on April 1st in Vancouver is designed to help change that. The Summit content is designed to spark passion, strengthen performance and drive the industry forward. And every ticket supports WORTH’s scholarship, professional development and mentorship programs focused on elevating women in hospitality.
Elevating the participation of women in hospitality represents a huge opportunity!
In addition to the management and C-suite imbalance mentioned above, in February, Worldchefs reported that only 6% of Michelin-starred restaurants are led by women, globally only 19% of chefs and head cooks are women, and in the US only 9% of corporate executive chefs are women. Yet in June of 2025, Tourism Management reported that that “research shows that the firms with higher gender diversity - ratio of males to females - in top management or on their boards are more likely to achieve higher financial performance and better sustainability performance.”
WORTH is leading the way in empowering women in hospitality, and their April 1 Leadership Summit offers an unparalleled opportunity to learn more and get ready for what’s next. You can learn more about the Leadership Summit here
