Canadian hospitality continues to grow!
 

Statistics Canada reported that in June, Canadian Food Service and Drinking Places sales grew 7% YoY, with all three food service sectors posting gains of 6%+. That represents 6 months in a row with solid YoY gains. STR reported that in June Canada’s hotel industry had its highest occupancy level since August 2019, and all three key industry metrics hit peak YoY increases for the year. Demand for seniors living is expected to increase dramatically as baby boomers begin to turn 80, and Cushman and Wakefield expect 2025 to be a record setting year for the seniors living industry. L’industrie hôtelière canadienne continue de croître!

Statistique Canada a indiqué qu’en juin, les ventes dans les services alimentaires et les débits de boissons au Canada ont augmenté de 7 % sur un an, avec des gains de plus de 6 % dans les trois principaux secteurs de la restauration. Cela représente six mois consécutifs de croissance solide. Selon STR, en juin, l’industrie hôtelière canadienne a affiché son plus haut taux d’occupation depuis août 2019, et les trois indicateurs clés de performance ont atteint leurs sommets annuels. La demande pour les résidences pour aînés devrait croître de manière significative à mesure que les baby-boomers atteignent l’âge de 80 ans. Cushman & Wakefield prévoit que 2025 sera une année record pour le secteur.
