A high-performing luxury retailer specializing in fine jewellery and prestige timepieces is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the leadership of a flagship boutique in Canada. Working closely with the Store Director, the Assistant Manager will help drive boutique performance, support daily sales leadership, coach the team on the floor, and ensure the client experience reflects a true luxury standard. The salary range is $90,000 to $100,000+ with substantial bonus potential.
Description
- Support the Store Director in driving boutique revenue, client experience, and overall store performance
- Act as a visible leader on the sales floor, supporting the team during peak periods, client appointments, and high-value transactions
- Coach and develop sales professionals with a strong focus on clienteling, conversion, product knowledge, and service excellence
- Build and maintain relationships with high-value clients, supporting repeat business, loyalty, and long-term client development
- Monitor daily sales activity, KPIs, client follow-up, and pipeline development to help achieve boutique targets
- Lead by example through polished client engagement, strong selling behaviours, and a deep respect for the luxury sales process
- Support boutique operations including inventory control, visual standards, merchandising execution, opening and closing procedures, and compliance
- Partner with the Store Director on team development, scheduling, performance conversations, and maintaining a high-accountability culture
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training to ensure the boutique attracts and retains strong luxury retail talent
- Represent the brand with professionalism, discretion, and confidence in every client and team interaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine jewellery, luxury watches, or comparable high-ticket retail environments
- Previous supervisory or Assistant Manager experience in a premium or luxury retail setting
- Strong understanding of clienteling, relationship-based selling, and long-cycle luxury sales
- Demonstrated success contributing to sales growth and achieving performance targets
- Ability to coach and motivate experienced sales professionals in a results-driven environment
- Highly polished communication and presentation skills
- Confidence interacting with sophisticated, high-net-worth clientele
- Strong operational discipline with excellent attention to detail and execution
- Ability to balance luxury service standards with commercial performance objectives
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods as required
