Summary

We are supporting a global luxury design organization that is expanding into the Canadian market. This opportunity is focused on establishing a new showroom presence and creating an exceptional destination for designers, architects, builders, trade professionals, and discerning residential clients. The Showroom Manager will lead the day-to-day business, build and develop a high-performing sales team, and create an elevated client experience that reflects the standards of a globally recognized luxury brand. This is a hands-on leadership role combining people development, sales performance, relationship building, business development, and showroom operations.

The successful candidate will be highly visible on the showroom floor, coaching the team, engaging with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring every stage of the customer journey is executed to an exceptional standard. They will also play an important role in building relationships within the local design community and establishing the showroom as a trusted resource for premium design solutions. The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience from luxury home furnishings, lighting, interiors, architectural products, kitchen and bath, building materials, or another design-focused environment. They will be commercially driven, passionate about beautiful product and design, and equally comfortable developing people, building client relationships, and driving results.

Compensation: $120,000-$135,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus opportunities

Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing showroom team focused on exceptional service, relationship-based selling, and achieving sales objectives.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor team members across every stage of the sales process, from initial client engagement through project completion and after-sales support.
  • Drive showroom sales performance by establishing clear expectations, coaching selling behaviours, and creating accountability around individual and team results.
  • Create and execute proactive sales and business development strategies to attract new clients and expand existing relationships.
  • Build relationships with interior designers, architects, builders, trade professionals, and luxury residential clients within the local market.
  • Partner closely with Business Development Specialists to identify opportunities, strengthen industry relationships, and grow market share.
  • Utilize sales and operational data to identify trends, establish priorities, and drive showroom performance.
  • Partner with marketing to develop local events, networking opportunities, and initiatives that strengthen visibility within the architecture and interior design community.
  • Maintain an elevated, visually compelling, clean, and well-organized showroom environment that supports the sales process and reflects premium brand standards.
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising and Operations teams to manage inventory, execute product resets, coordinate installations, and maintain showroom presentation.
  • Ensure the showroom is fully prepared and operational at the beginning of each business day.
  • Develop expertise in point-of-sale and operating systems and ensure the team is trained to use them effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to showroom inventory, sales activity, returns, banking, and other operational requirements.
  • Provide consistent reporting on showroom performance, including sales results, inventory aging, staffing matters, operational issues, and areas requiring additional support.
  • Lead by example and create an inclusive, collaborative environment built around professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of management and sales leadership experience within luxury home furnishings, lighting, building materials, interiors, or another premium design-focused environment.
  • Experience within interior design, custom home products, lighting, architectural products, kitchen and bath, or a related category strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Demonstrated success driving sales performance within a consultative, relationship-based environment.
  • Strong client relationship and business development capabilities.
  • Experience working with designers, architects, builders, trade professionals, or luxury residential clients considered a strong asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with disciplined follow-up and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities with the ability to interpret sales and operational information.
  • Professional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong design sensibility and appreciation for premium interiors and product presentation.
  • Experience with point-of-sale and retail operating systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Post-secondary education considered an asset.
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays as part of a rotating five-day schedule.
