Description

  • Oversee the daily operations of a premium retail boutique
  • Lead the successful launch and ongoing performance of the Banff location
  • Drive sales, profitability, customer engagement, and overall store results
  • Generate and support corporate, group, and local business opportunities
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience through strong floor leadership and service standards
  • Model exemplary customer service and establish clear expectations for the team
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, and develop retail sales associates
  • Supervise store employees to maximize customer service, sales, and profitability
  • Train the team on selling techniques, product knowledge, merchandising, and guest engagement
  • Monitor sales, labour, expenses, and operational performance to support store profitability
  • Manage inventory, product ordering, supplies, and loss prevention practices
  • Maintain strong merchandising, visual presentation, and product display standards
  • Ensure store cleanliness, product safety, and operational compliance standards are consistently met
  • Complete daily cash reconciliation, sales reporting, payroll, paperwork, and administrative duties
  • Manage employee performance, provide coaching, and assist with performance reviews
  • Maintain full product knowledge and use sales information to help achieve targets
  • Support a positive, polished, and team-oriented boutique culture

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of retail management experience - preferably in specialty retail, food service, hospitality or high-service environments.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and build business.
  • Previous experience in specialty retail, premium retail, food retail, gifting, luxury, or high-service environments is an asset.
  • Strong merchandising, presentation, and store standards experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management, organization, and follow-through.
  • Confidence leading, coaching, and developing a team.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Experience with cash handling, inventory management, retail administration, and scheduling.
  • A history of going above and beyond for customers.
  • A natural ability to sell, connect with people, and build loyalty.
  • French and English communication skills are considered an asset.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for premium products, gifting, and customer experience.
