A well-established, multi-location grocery retailer in Alberta is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead one of its key locations. This role offers an opportunity for a proven retail leader to oversee store performance, support team development, and ensure a consistent and welcoming customer experience. The Store Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership of the store, working closely with department managers and head office teams to maintain operational standards, support staff engagement, and deliver strong financial results. Description

Store Leadership

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the store team, including department managers and staff.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture.

  • Set clear expectations for service, performance, and accountability.

Business Performance

  • Monitor store sales performance and key operating metrics.

  • Manage labour scheduling and operating costs to support financial targets.

  • Work with department managers to drive sales growth and operational consistency.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure the store delivers a welcoming and professional shopping experience.

  • Maintain strong service standards and address customer concerns when required.

Merchandising and Store Standards

  • Ensure store presentation, merchandising, and product availability meet company expectations.

  • Support the execution of promotional programs and merchandising initiatives.

Team Development

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members.

  • Provide coaching and feedback to department leaders and staff.

  • Partner with HR and senior leadership on employee relations and performance management when required.

Requirements

  • Previous grocery retail management experience required.

  • Experience leading teams in a multi-department retail environment.

  • Strong understanding of retail operations and store performance metrics.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
